September 2026FY 2027 rates built in — ready for October 1The FY 2027 CMS rates are now selectable in every affected calculator and switch on automatically Oct 1; plus a full rate re-validation and a corrected IRF outlier threshold.
- FY 2027 rates are built into the calculators now. The SNF PDPM, hospice per-diem, hospice cap, IRF, and LTCH tools each carry a rate-year selector — FY 2026 today, FY 2027 as an option — and they make FY 2027 the default automatically on Oct 1, 2026, when it takes effect. No wait, no page change.
- Verified every FY 2027 figure against the final-rule text: SNF per-diems (+2.4%, CMS-1843-F), hospice rates and the $36,174.75 cap (+2.3%, CMS-1851-F), the IRF $19,868 conversion factor and $8,857 outlier (CMS-1845-F), and the LTCH $52,132.76 standard rate (CMS-1849-F).
- Re-validated all live FY 2026 / CY 2026 rates against the current CMS Final Rules — SNF, home health, hospice, IRF, LTCH, Part B therapy, and Part A. Corrected the IRF high-cost outlier threshold to $10,141 (CMS correction notice of Dec 17, 2025; the original FY 2026 rule stated $10,062).
- The Medicare updates feed now tracks the FY 2027 finals and the CY 2027 proposed rules (home health and the physician fee schedule — those programs stay on their CY 2026 values until the calendar-year rules finalize ~Nov 2026).
August 2026Five new toolsSNF consolidated billing, benefit days, and wage index; a home-health NOA penalty calculator; and a hospice HOPE guide.
- SNF Consolidated Billing Checker — is a service bundled into the Part A per diem or separately billable to Part B, by category (with the Part B-stay therapy rule).
- SNF Benefit Day Tracker — days 1–20 in full vs. the $217/day coinsurance (days 21–100), when benefits exhaust, and the 60-day reset.
- SNF Wage Index Lookup — the SNF PPS wage index for all 468 CBSA/rural areas (FY2025–FY2027) plus a rate wage-adjuster.
- Home Health NOA Penalty Calculator — the late-NOA payment reduction (1/30 of the period payment per day past admission).
- The HOPE Assessment, explained — what replaced the Hospice Item Set on Oct 1, 2025: the timepoints and the HQRP penalty.
