Values are the published uncapped SNF PPS indexes. CMS caps year-over-year decreases at 5% at the provider level (applied by the MAC), so a facility's effective index can be higher than the raw table value. CBSAs are multi-county areas keyed by 5-digit code — not by ZIP.
FY2027 figures come from the proposed rule (CMS-1843-P) and can change in the final rule, expected ~August 2026.

Sources: FY2025 SNF PPS correction (CMS-1802-CN) · FY2026 Final Rule (CMS-1827-F) · FY2027 Proposed Rule (CMS-1843-P). Same data the PDPM Calculator applies automatically.

    How the adjustment works

Only the labor-related share of a rate is wage-adjusted:

adjusted = rate × labor share × wage index
              + rate × (1 − labor share)

The FY2026 SNF labor-related share is 71.9%. A wage index of 1.0000 leaves the rate unchanged; 0.85 trims the labor slice by 15%; 1.20 raises it by 20%. Home health, hospice, IRF, and LTCH each publish their own wage index tables and labor shares — this page is the SNF PPS table.
